Neuro Restore Formula- NRF
How is NRF administered?
NRF is given orally by mouth via a dropper that is included. Try not to touch the mouth of the person taking NRF directly with the dropper to prevent product contamination. Please note that NRF may have a strong and warm garlic taste and the person taking NRF may smell like garlic for a short time after. Shake the bottle before giving each dose as some of the product may collect at the bottom of the bottle.
What are the ingredients of NRF?
Due to many patents popping up for similar products, the ingredients are not made public. This keeps NRF being available for use.
DMSO is used a solvent- if anyone has any sulfur allergies they should NOT use this product or they may experience an adverse reaction. Please research DMSO to make sure it is safe for the person taking NRF. DMSO has many benefits even when given on its own and studies have shown that it may be beneficial in Down Syndrome.

What is ISRIB?
NRF is similar to an analog of ISRIB.
ISRIB, or Integrated Stress Response Inhibitor, is being studied for its potential effects on several conditions. These include:

Can I mix or dilute NRF with juice?
NO. NRF is not water soluble and can not be diluted or it may become unbinded. The drops need to be given directly into the mouth via the dropper, avoid product contamination by not touching the dropper directly to any saliva in the mouth. Some have mixed NRF with a small amount of applesauce or spoonful of juice and still have reported positive results but this is not recommended.

Some resolved symptoms have been shown to come back after several months of discontinuing use of NRF so a small maintenance dose may be needed after the first initial 5 month dose.
Note that studies are still taking place so there may be limited data on the safety or long-term safety of NRF and no side effects have been recorded yet, it is still strongly advised to consult with your Doctor and to keep up with monitoring blood work, cardiac testing, and kidney and liver function. While many people with severe cognitive or behavioral issues show results within the first few days of taking NRF, results are not guaranteed and not everyone may show noticeable signs of improvement. If your child has a disability you may want to do testing before and after starting NRF so you can compare results. ATEC testing is recommended for those that may be on the ASD spectrum, many parents see a significant improvement in their child's ATEC scores after taking NRF. Some parents do not tell Teachers or Therapists that their child is taking NRF and they wait to see if the Teacher or Therapist notices a difference, in many cases the Teacher notices right away asks the parent what cause the drastic change. It is also recommended that you track your progress daily so you can refer back later.

What are the side effects of ISRIB?
At this point in time both NRF and ISRIB have been found to be generally safe and no adverse side effects have been reported in any studies. A few people in recent NRF studies have reported feeling more calm or tired, if that occurs during the day you may want to switch to one dose of 10 drops at night if it impacts your day or you can switch to just a few drops in the morning and take the rest at night. Parents of children and teens that had very high levels of energy before NRF have reported that their children are more calm and are able to sit and relax more instead of always being uncomfortably hyper. Some parents report that their child seems hungrier on NRF, not to the point of causing any issues but some have noticed them eating more at meals and eating more independently. A few parents have reported better stool formation and less constipation with NRF. Keep in mind that as gut health improves you may see typical detox type symptoms relating to improved gut health and that may mean that the person is finally able to excrete toxins properly. Please do your own research to keep up-to-date with any of the latest studies and any potential side effects that may be reported.

How does ISRIB work?
ISRIB (Integrated Stress Response Inhibitor) is an experimental drug that reverses the effects of eIF2α phosphorylation, a process involved in memory formation. It readily crosses the blood-brain barrier and remains active for up to eight hours, making it an effective candidate for use in living organisms​.
Initial testing has shown that ISRIB can enhance cognitive functions such as spatial and fear-associated learning. It has also demonstrated potential in reversing impairments from traumatic brain injury (TBI), correcting spatial memory deficits, and improving working memory in aged mice. Additionally, it has shown promise in treating neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, reducing age-related cognitive decline, and enhancing memory in healthy mice​​.

The drug has shown potential in the treatment of Down syndrome, a chromosomal disorder leading to cognitive disability. Research indicated that some of the intellectual impairments associated with Down syndrome may be tied to altered protein production in the hippocampus, a brain region central to learning and long-term memory formation. By targeting the cell's stress response pathways, scientists were able to normalize protein levels, leading to the disappearance of cognitive deficits in a mouse model of Down syndrome. This suggests it may be possible to improve cognitive function in human Down syndrome patients using similar compounds​​.
In relation to Alzheimer's disease, restoring protein production in the brain has been suggested as a potential treatment strategy. In this regard, ISRIB has shown promise in mouse models of Alzheimer's, improving memory and increasing protein production in the brain. It's worth noting that earlier studies using a single, high dose of ISRIB found no benefits, but a more recent study using lower doses of ISRIB daily for several days yielded more positive results​.

Patents are popping up constantly for products similar to NRF and those products may not be available publicly for your intended use for decades. What is the dosing for NRF?
Initial Dose- The dose you start with lasts about 5 months (until your drops run out). Give 5 drops in the morning and another 5 drops 8 hours later for a total of 10 drops/day.
Maintenance Dose- It is suggested that after the initial dose is finished that a maintenance dose of 3 drops is given per day if there is a concern about results going away after the Initial Dose.
Be sure to swirl around the bottle before giving each dose as you may notice some collecting at the bottom of the bottle.

Will I need a maintenance dose of NRF?
NRF and ISRIB are still being studied. It seems that for most cognitive or degenerative conditions a maintenance dose may be needed in order to keep gains. For conditions like a concussion, a maintenance dose may not be needed.
How is NRF stored?
Keep the bottle of NRF being used in a cool, dark place such as a cabinet. Store any NRF bottles not currently being used in the refrigerator. Note that NRF may freeze while in the refrigerator, this is fine. When ready to open a frozen bottle from the refrigerator leave out on a counter top for about 45 minutes to thaw out. It is not necessary to keep the NRF bottle currently being used in the refrigerator, just leave in a cool, dry place. Be sure to swirl around the bottle before giving each dose as some may collect at the bottom of the bottle.
